On November 14, Cult Gaia hosted a breathtaking runway show to present their Resort 2024 collection. "Under the Sun" was the theme and inspiration driving Jasmin Larian Hekmat's collection and it certainly delivered. Cult Gaia, as a brand, is known for being resort inspired wear in all four seasons with its intricate crochet, stunning beading, and fun fringe detailing. This show was, nonetheless, another showcase of Hekmat's iconic label.
Hosted at The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures under an open air dome shaped roof, the show represented everything and more that designer Jasmin Larian Hekmat imagined for her South of France vision. A highlight of the show was the sustainability elements in some of the pieces. Not only were the raffia skirts and dresses breathtaking, but they were made out of leftover scraps from previous season bags. As sustainability within the luxury industry is an up and coming priority, Cult Gaia represented the elegance and beauty that is seen in sustainable fashion.
Hekmat made sure to showcase looks for every occasion. From crochet dresses to cover up with by the pool, puffy gowns for an evening event, or sustainable jeans with unique designs; a new edition to the brand, it is truly a perfect collection. Starting off the show with a bang, the first look was an incredible knit crochet dress styled with a simple bikini and minimal accessories, allowing the dress to be the star of the look.

Being know for their intricate and bold accessories, Cult Gaia made sure to not disappoint in the Resort 2024 collection. The oversized straw hats, raffia handbags, platform shoes, and diverse earrings were hard to miss on each look. As seen towards the end of the show, look 47 was a chic all black outfit. The cohesive styling of an all black outfit with bold accessories and a statement crochet top was beautiful. Cult Gaia really executed on what the brand is known for.

Another one of my favorite looks of the night included a classier version of a workwear inspired button up and shorts outfit. The pastel yellow look displayed an elegant button up tank top with matching pastel yellow shorts, perfect for a summer day. Another showstopper for me was a gorgeous black gown that showcased a unique design of different textures and materials. The voluminous dress featured a structured raffia top into a long fringe skirt, conveying how incredible Hekmat's designs are.
